Parent Rights
As a Crafty Guardian family, you have the right to:
Receive reliable, high-quality childcare from trained and supported professionals
Clear rates, policies, and expectations before any care begins
A safe, respectful, and professional relationship with your nanny
Open communication with our agency whenever questions or concerns arise
Request guidance or support if your childcare needs change
A replacement caregiver when emergencies or unexpected circumstances arise with your nanny (for long-term placements)
Trust that your family’s privacy, preferences, and cultural values will be honored
Parent Responsibilities
To help us provide the best care possible, we ask parents to:
Provide accurate information about your child’s needs, routines, and any health or behavioral considerations
Maintain a safe and prepared environment for your nanny
Supply all caregiving essentials (diapers, meals, medication instructions, etc.)
Respect the nanny’s time by honoring agreed-upon start and end times
Communicate schedule changes or concerns promptly
Use the agency for payments, bookings, and updates
Treat your nanny—and all Crafty Guardian staff—with kindness, respect, and professionalism
We’re here to support your family in a partnership built on trust, communication, and care.

We do our best to make childcare simple and dependable for everyone. To ensure our nannies can plan their schedules and provide the best care possible, all bookings require:
A minimum of 4 hours
At least 24 hours’ notice
Cancellations submitted no later than 4 hours before the start time
We completely understand that plans can change. We simply ask that families keep communication open so we can support you and our nannies smoothly and respectfully.

Crafty Guardian strives to make pricing clear and fair. Our hourly rates are based on the number of children in our care and the type of service you need.
For families seeking long-term support, we offer full-time and part-time placements with a one-time placement fee. This fee includes guaranteed backup coverage whenever your nanny is sick, unavailable, or experiences an emergency—giving you reliable support when you need it most.
All payments are processed through Crafty Guardian to protect families and caregivers.

Decline tasks outside of agreed-upon childcare responsibilities

Nanny ResponsibilitiesAs compassionate professionals, our nannies play a meaningful role in each child’s life. Nannies are expected to:
Provide kind, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care
Arrive on time and prepared for each shift
Follow family routines and safety guidelines
Communicate openly about schedule changes or concerns
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect
Prioritize the child’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being
Notify the agency of any incidents, health issues, or other concerns
We deeply value our caregivers and are committed to advocating for their well-being and professional growth.

To help create a predictable and respectful schedule for everyone, all childcare bookings should be arranged through Crafty Guardian. Families rely on your consistency, and we value your time just as much.
If you ever need to cancel a shift, please notify the agency as soon as possible so we can support the family and find backup care if needed. We also ask that you avoid accepting or modifying bookings directly with families without agency approval.
Life happens, and we understand unexpected things can come up—open communication helps us take care of you and the families we serve.

To ensure every nanny is paid fairly and consistently, all childcare payments are processed directly through Crafty Guardian. This protects both you and the families you care for.
We kindly ask that you do not accept direct payments or negotiate rates with families outside of our approved structure. Our agency sets rates based on experience, schedule, and service type, and your pay will always follow the terms outlined in your agreement.
If a family ever requests additional help or a rate adjustment, simply let us know—we’re here to advocate for you and make sure everything stays clear, accurate, and supportive for everyone involved.
